The End of the False Self:
The Truth of Who You Are

The End of the False Self course works directly with the teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff to reveal and release the false personalities that create inner conflict and identity confusion. Through guided inquiry, role-playing exercises, and deprogramming tools, you’ll learn to recognize the competing “I’s” within your psyche, distinguish what is not you, and reclaim the energy tied up in maintaining those patterns. As false identity structures loosen, clarity emerges naturally—allowing you to move, decide, and create from a place that is no longer fragmented or forced.
Every false identity costs energy.
Holding it. Defending it. Performing it.
Let it go—
and that energy comes back online.

The End of the False Self: The Truth of Who You Are
A 4-Week Course · May 9th – May 30th
Most people don’t have an identity problem.
They have too many identities.
Different voices, reactions, roles, and performances that take turns running the system—each one convincing, each one claiming to be “you.” The result is confusion, inner conflict, and a constant drain of energy trying to manage, defend, or maintain what isn’t real.
This course is not about building a better version of yourself.
It’s about seeing clearly what you are not—and letting that fall away.
In The End of the False Self, we’ll work directly with the teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff on false personality, essence, and the structure of the psyche.
Over four weeks, you’ll begin to:
- Recognize the mechanics of false personality and how it forms
- Identify the different “I’s” that compete for authority in your system
- Distinguish between false, neutral, and essence-based expressions
- Develop the capacity to observe without identifying
- Reclaim energy tied up in maintaining identities that aren’t you
This course is not only great teachings.
We’ll be working with role-playing exercises to bring different parts of your personality into the open—making them easier to see, feel, and ultimately release. What is usually hidden becomes visible. What feels heavy becomes workable.
And yes—there’s a level of play in this. Because when you can see the structure clearly, you’re no longer trapped inside it.
Alongside this, we’ll apply deprogramming tools to let these patterns go at the root—rather than managing them endlessly on the surface.
As false personality loosens, something else becomes apparent.
Not something new.
Not something constructed.
But something that was there the whole time—without the noise.
Course Dates:
May 9th – May 30th
This is for those willing to look directly at the structure of who they’ve been—and discover what remains when it’s no longer running the show.

Micah Ellars is a filmmaker, acting instructor, and transformation coach whose work bridges storytelling, psychology, and inner development. After enduring years of crippling depression, anxiety, grief, and experiences of bullying, abuse, and betrayal, Micah found himself stripped of meaning and searching for purpose in the aftermath of a life that no longer made sense. Repeated encounters with loss and disillusionment—including a religious upbringing that ultimately rejected him—led him into a deeper inquiry into the nature of identity, suffering, and transformation.
That search brought him to the teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff and the Fourth Way—an integrated system of inner work that revealed a precise understanding of human psychology and consciousness. Through applying this work, Micah found a new orientation: one that transformed suffering into a path of meaning, inner freedom, and connection to something beyond the constructed self.
Drawing on his background in filmmaking and acting, Micah developed a unique transformation method rooted in the Meisner Technique, combined with Gurdjieff’s psychological framework. Today, he works with creatives and seekers to help them access higher levels of energy, awareness, and authentic expression through direct experiential work.
