What are your Holy Days? Nine Things to Remember for Surfing this Wave with Grace
As we sink under a white-blanket-of-snow, and the holy-day season this year, I find myself greeting some old familiar dichotemies, memories and a sense of significance that comes both from within me, and all around me…

Bringing Alive the Voices of The Four Universal Archetypes
Our Common Threads
To get into the heart of the subject, of which my health was the object, I was guided to follow a system of looking inward. This inward view introduced me to the way that archteypes can be used to follow the threads that stay constant in the movement of our heart and minds, and connect us up to every being through all time in the realm of the collective consciousness. So it’s no little thing, finding a voice for them. It requires the innocence of pure observation without judgement, and the ability to see beyond the dualities of right and wrong, good and bad. Archetypal spirituality asks us to look more deeply within ourselves, and reframe these more surface dualisms as light and dark, awake and the unconscious, on-purpose and in shadow.
There are always these two possibilities with the way that archetypes appear, and we can use the characteristics of them to first identify them within ourselves, and then to give them voice, to give them a vehicle to travel from the depths of our unconscious mind and heart, and into the light of day.
We are all caught somewhere in the shadow. We can be extremely awake in one way, and then utterly asleep in another. Archetypal energy is there to remind us, and give us a framework for getting into it and creating the will (fifth chakra) to make something for everyone to benefit. Archetype work is always on behalf of the collective consciousness, so if we learn to give voice to it, we do it for much more than just our own soul’s growth.

The five senses of taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing all move with our attention, the senses are nearly all outward moving, unless you include an additional sense – the one knowing. If you make a practice path out of turning to this “within,” it’s called pratyahaar. Keep Reading
