Dear Ones,
Congratulations to those of you who threw your hat over the fence to take on a new year commitment to wellness with the 12 Week Challenge. Here’s how you can approach Step 1 (starting this week!) of the Six Steps to Growing on Purpose that we will be covering over the course of the New Year session.
In class we will be focussing on each Step for two weeks, so that you’ve got lots of time to contemplate, practice and implement the life strategies.
Foundation Building
It’s so basic, but not that easy to remember, as you make your new year changes – include a plan to stand solidly, strongly and on purpose as the foundation for any life transformation.
What is the basis for a transformation and why do we tend to jump without looking to see what’s there in the way of support? Or worse, why do we stand at the back and just watch, never finding out how to have the joy of leaping?
If the very ground of our efforts to grow is root-friendly, it can literally be built upon and serve a greater connectedness among us, then it can be far reaching in its benefit to the greater good.
In the next two classes you will become a primary experimenter.
The Simple Act of Grounding..is a Boost to Self-Esteem
Becoming truly embodied, means first to be located within your own flesh and blood, right down to the cellular and DNA level. This is a first step towards creating:
1. Self-confidence
2. Self-esteem
3. Spiritual Strength
It sounds simple, but it’s not easy!
Because we live day after day, and wake up, as if, the same person, it is easy to miss the very fabric of how life connects itself to the form of a body, mind & heart.
Your body is the doorway to basic self confidence and esteem, because it is life itself that gives us these basic qualities.

Live from the Death Bed – No Matter How Far Away
Check out this article by a Palliative Care nurse who listened to many people discuss their regrets while they were on their death bed:

In light of helping you not have regrets about working too much, not connecting with friends and like-minded beings, and about not finding out who you truly are inside and living from that place, I’m making a special offer to sign up for the 12 Week Yoga Challenge, and putting the remaining spots on sale, for the next 48 hours only.
At the end of my life, I want to know that I didn’t collapse in my efforts to help people make good choices and to bring the most important things to the forefront – those things that really matter to us, but for which we always feel there will be some other day to come. Keep Reading

Adaptation Resolutions
Have you begun to already feel like you’re back-sliding away from the things you know you need to do for your self for 2012? Do you already know what you need to do:
So you can feel good this year; so you can give more to those who depend upon you; so you can bend and not break when the wind blows?
So why isn’t it magically happening all by itself?
This time of year we have a collective and heightened awareness about our innate ability to adapt to the circumstances in and around us. But this doesn’t happen by itself.
Successful adaptation requires particular circumstances, conscious choices and decisions, but because life wants nothing more than to adapt, rather than suffer needlessly, it is very natural to do, and with guidance easily turns into a lifestyle habit.
I’m offering this guidance, starting with a Free Teleseminar Yoga Training called:
Sign Up for the Free Tele-Seminar January 29
So you can Take a Stand that Sticks; Worry Less and Adapt More; Shift to a Self-Spa Lifestyle Health Plan that includes improving the quality of your sleep, as one of five strategies to come over the year as free online training that can be downloaded for 30 days post events, or attended LIVE TIME on January 29 & April 1 to start.
Life has very often asked me for less than relaxing opportunities to adapt. And at some point I learned to stop “falling,” and began to experience more buoyancy, more weightlessness & fluidity- like nothing could actually take me down. Every time “I” rise to the surface it becomes easier to remember that that is happening, even if in slow motion.
In my best moments I realize the play of this. And it opens me to the vulnerability about and gratitude for all that it is to be alive and human for each one of us. This makes me hug closely with love the yoga that always makes its way into my daily living ritual.
And I wish that for you as well.
